THE LEGEND OF BREAKERS
A long time ago before the Double God came into existence, the Fifth Universe was created with the power of light and darkness. The Light and Dark Gods gave birth to every galaxy, planet, star, moon, and creature in the entire universe.
The Fifth Universe used to be much larger and was radiating with so much life. Hundreds of galaxies were always fighting to survive, starving for the light and darkness until only ten surviving galaxies left.
Breakers and Lockers were created long before the Light and Dark Gods gave life to other species. They were given the tasks along with the first law of the Fifth Universe.
The first law was to ensure that no life could visit another planet. No planets could interfere with each other. With this law, the Lockers had the power to build up the walls of chains, preventing any people from visiting a different planet.
Sometimes the Lockers made way too many chains. It was then up to the Breakers to destroy the walls of chains as needed. Thus, the cycle continued.
Until the day Double God appeared. He gave the Breakers the order to destroy all of the chains and the Lockers to stop creating and building. It turned out that he had learned that the so-called chain energy apparently took the souls of the people of the Fifth Universe.
The Lockers were one of the reasons why the number of the galaxies was reduced to ten. The Fifth Universe had been weakening every day.
However, the longer the Lockers went without consuming the souls and making the barriers between the planets and galaxies, the more drained they became. Eventually, they would wilt and then die. While they did not have the ability to be reincarnated, they had long lifespans and were almost as immortal as the Gods were.
The Breakers were entirely different from the Lockers. Their lifespan was much shorter compared to the Lockers’. On the bright side, they would be reincarnated but with the limited number of reincarnations. Each individual had a different number of reincarnations, so nobody would ever know if they would be reincarnated into the next life or not.
One day, the Lockers were fed up with the Double God after watching their loved ones dying. They started setting up thousands of chains throughout the Fifth Universe to save their dying people. With the wrath of the Double God, he wiped out nearly the entire race of Lockers. The last few remaining survivors escaped and hid from the eyes of the Double God.
And so, for the next thousands of years, the Breakers were working so hard to unlock and break every single chain. A few other Breakers had an unique ability to sense a specific life force from the Lockers and so, they were selected to seek out the remaining survivors. Every time they were discovered, the battles always broke out. Some Breakers died. Some Lockers died. Some survived. Some fled.
Eventually, the Fifth Universe was without the Gods and Angels. The number of Breakers and Lockers was smaller than ever.

NEW YORK CITY
JANUARY 27, 2015
“Gotsu, are you even listening?”
“Huh? Oh, I’m sorry, Scott. I… I have too many things on my plate.” Gotsu nervously scratched the back of his head with wild black hair pointing out in different directions, like he recently got out of bed even though it was only breakfast time on a busy Tuesday morning. He shifted his dark and narrow eyes away from his childhood blonde-haired friend, who was giving him an annoyed look. “It’s just…”
“Gotsu, I have known you for a long time. You had always liked having a simple life. Is it about your job?” Scott crossed his arms with a frown on his light-skinned face with piercing blue eyes.
“Yes… and no,” Gotsu almost mumbled and looked down at his own hands, finding it easier to avoid eye contact with his friend. “Actually… I had a dream last night, but I could not remember it no matter how hard I tried. But… I can’t really explain, but I just can’t shake off this terrible feeling.”
Scott took a sip of coffee and then placed his mug back on the small round table. He glanced at the wall of glass, briefly watching the citizens walk by. He said without turning his head, “Quit your job, then. Leave this place.”
Gotsu blinked in surprise.
“Go and live in the country. You had always wanted to do that, right?” Scott asked as he took another sip. “Take your wife and kid and… leave.”
“But…” Gotsu said worriedly. His hands clenched into fists. “I can’t do that. Not to my wife. I just…”
Scott leaned over the table and placed his hand on Gotsu’s stumped shoulder. “If it helps, maybe you should talk to her and see what she thinks. Isn’t your kid like… 10 years old? Tokuso, is it? Maybe he will like the country life?”
“Perhaps.” Gotsu nodded his head in agreement. He was staring at his own cup of coffee that he had not even taken a single sip from. He had a frown on his light tan face. “You know what? I will just take my family and leave tonight. We will go on a road trip… and then maybe find a place to stay in the midwest. Like Wyoming.”
Scott beamed a big grin for the first time since they came to the coffee shop today. He raised up his mug. “There you go!”
Gotsu gave him a smile and then leaned back into his chair with the release of a light sigh as if the burden of the world had been lifted off his shoulders. “Thank you, Scott. But… what are you going to do without me?”
Scott shrugged his shoulders. “I have a restaurant to run, so I can’t leave anyway. I don’t want to make my employees lose their jobs. Besides, unlike you, I’ve already become so fond of a city like this.”
He placed his empty mug back on the table. “We have each other’s numbers. I will visit you whenever I am free.”
“You better!” Gotsu laughed heartily, as he took the first sip of the coffee, which was now cold and bitter. Even so, he still had a job to go back to anyway and then let his boss know that he was quitting.
They paid their own bills and then put on their own thick coats and gloves on the way to the entrance door. It was January, so it was pretty cold in New York City. There were still remains of snow that they received a couple of weeks ago.
As Gotsu placed his hand on the doorknob, he heard the waitress calling, “Sir! You forgot your phone!”
When he took his hand off the doorknob, it suddenly crumbled into tiny pieces. He quickly pulled his hand away as if it was a disease. “What? That doorknob…”
“Okay… I guess you better let the owner know that he needs a new doorknob,” Scott said to the waitress as he scratched the back of his head in confusion.
“Y-yes.” The waitress was as surprised as Scott and Gotsu were. “H-have a nice day, sirs!”
“You better call me once you get on the road, ‘Tsu!” Scott almost demanded, making Gotsu chuckle softly.
“Will do! Talk to you later!” Gotsu casually waved his hand.
Scott stepped out of the coffee shop, and Gotsu followed him afterward. They stopped frozen at the fearful screams. They were watching as hundreds of chains were being shot from the blue sky. The chains were piercing and thrusting through every building, vehicle, and even people.
“What the fu--” Scott did not finish his question when Gotsu watched the long string of chains piercing through his best friend’s chest and then crashing into the sidewalk.
Gotsu was completely speechless at the sight. Scott did not even scream at all. He… He just collapsed into unconsciousness.
“...Scott?” Gotsu asked quietly, his eyes still on Scott’s body which was no longer breathing. He heard a soft cry and glanced following the noise until --
He widened his dark eyes at the sight of a spirit struggling to escape the chain. It looked exactly like Scott. The chains were still pierced through the spirit’s chest but that did not last long.
The spirit of Scott stopped struggling and then reached out his hand out of desperation. He said quietly, “Help me, ‘Tsu…”
“Scott…!” Gotsu hurriedly extended his arm for him. Just as he was about to take Scott’s hand, he was way out of his reach. The chains pulled Scott’s spirit back into the sky so fast that Gotsu barely missed him.
“Scott!” He screamed.
He collapsed to his knees and cried out his best friend’s name over and over again but Scott’s lifeless body did not even barge a little bit at all.
“Well, well… I wonder why my chains did not go after you?”
As soon as he heard an unfamiliar voice, Gotsu lifted his head until he was looking at a pair of orange-yellowish eyes. “W...Who are you?”
“You do not know who I am?” The owner of the chains scoffed as he ran his hand through his black hair with some gray strands. “Even though you are the Breaker?”
“I am… the Breaker?”
“Oh boy. You really do not know anything, do you?” The orange-eyed man chuckled lightly as he was rubbing his forehead. He shrugged his shoulders as he said, “Oh well. It does not matter because you’re going to die anyway.”
He lifted his arm until he pointed his open palm at Gotsu. Lightning bolts sparked around his arm. “I hope you will not be reincarnated this time.”
Suddenly, a bright glowing hole appeared below Gotsu but he did not notice it at first. All he could think was how he was not able to save Scott even though he was right under his nose.
“Huh?” The stranger raised an eyebrow. As soon as he realized what the hole was, he quickly sent a lightning bolt at Gotsu. Before it could hit him, Gotsu disappeared into the hole.

WASHINGTON D.C.
A glass of whiskey suddenly cracked nearly enough to leak out the liquid. Kowareta narrowed his dark eyes in realization, not letting go of the glass at all.
“Sir? Are you ok?” The bartender asked. When he didn’t receive any response, he said worriedly, “I apologize. Let me get you another glass. It’s on the house.”
“It’s ok. I am going home anyway.” Kowareta tossed a few bills on the counter. “I suggest you get the hell out of this city now.”
Before the confused bartender could say anything, Kowareta was gone.
Just outside the tavern, Kowareta took out his smartphone and started pressing the numbers. After a couple of rings, Kowareta heard another phone being picked up.
“Hello?” A woman says.
“Take Starke and leave the city now.” Kowareta looked up at the sky, his dark eyes scanning it hurriedly.
“What is it? Are you drunk again—“
“Go anywhere but cities. No... Go to California. The further, the better. They have plenty of rural areas over there.” Kowareta demanded and then hung up before the woman on the other line could ask another question. He sighed as he ran his hand through his soft black hair.
He spotted a shadowy figure on the top of the Monument so he started to run toward it. Even though he was miles away, he was fast enough to catch up with cars.
Before he could get into the Monument, hundreds of chains suddenly appeared out of air and flew all over the city.
“No…” Kowareta scowled. He quickly turned around as soon as he heard terrorized screams. “Damn! I am too late!”
Countless numbers of chains smoothly thrust through the bodies of the citizens. Other chains either pierced through several buildings, including the Capitol and White House, and thrust into the ground or streets.
They kept coming. Thousands of souls were being extracted from their corpses and flying into the night sky.
Kowareta narrowed his dark eyes in suspicion as he was watching the souls floating around in the vast starry sky. They are not leaving the Earth? What the hell are the Lockers doing? This… It cannot be good!
As soon as he turned to the entrance of the Monument, the unknown man from the top of the obelisk building had landed harshly onto the floor after jumping all the way down. The impact of his landing placed a large dent on the stone floor.
A loud thunder boomed across the dark sky just a few seconds before a couple of lightning bolts flashed.
“What have you done?!” Kowareta yelled angrily. “Why did you… Kill them?! Why?”
“I see… I thought all Breakers were dead. So, you’re one of the survivors, aren’t you? Or perhaps… you are one of their reincarnations? How annoying.” The man stepped out of the shadows with a smirk on his light tan face. He crossed his arms as harsh winds ruffled his short dark gray hair.
“Breakers?” Kowareta raised an eyebrow in confusion. “I had heard about Lockers once before but… Breakers? Are you saying that I am a Breaker? What the hell are you talking about?”
The murderer flashed a huge big grin on his face. “We are practically siblings, after all. That’s why my chains did not go after you.” He frowned with a small confused look on his face. “But… How did you know about the Lockers?”
“It doesn’t matter… because I will not allow you to destroy the world!” Kowareta got in the fighting pose.
The stranger burst out into loud laughter. “You gotta be kidding! How can you beat a Locker like myself who has lived since the day the universe was born?!”
Kowareta rushed off, heading straight for the gray-haired stranger as he pulled his fist back. Before he could throw a punch, a thick and long whip of liquid wrapped his body halting his movement completely. “What?!”
The stranger walked to Kowareta who was being lifted a few feet above the ground by the water whip. He leaned forward a little bit with a smirk. “Double God chose you to be the Breaker right here on this planet because he knew we would strike down the Heart one day. He… He is here, isn’t he? Why don’t you tell me where he is?”
Kowareta clenched his jaw in anger. “W-What the hell are you talking about? What is this Double God nonsense?!”
The gray-haired man gave him a smirk before he waved his hand, pouring a large amount of purple mist out of his fingertips. “It doesn’t matter… you’re going to die anyway. Have a taste of my poison!”
Kowareta scowled even deeper as he was struggling to break free but the water whip only tightened the grip on his body.
Before the purple smoke could reach Kowareta, a hole suddenly opened below him and then sucked him out of the water whip.
“What?!” The man cried. He ran toward the hole but it closed before he could get to it.

RAITOBURU
“...’Tsu? Gotsu?”
Gotsu groaned painfully as he reached his hand behind his head only to find himself laying on the soft ground.
“Thank god you’re alive!”
Gotsu opened his dark brown eyes to find a blue-eyed man kneeling next to himself. He asked almost hopefully, “Scott?”
The man gave a light-hearted chuckle and said, “Sorry but I am not Scott.”
Gotsu blinked his eyes a few times until he finally got the clear vision of the black-haired stranger, who was wearing a large robe with white and black patterns. He looked away from the man’s blue eyes and friendly smile and then scanned the surrounding area. That was when he realized that he was no longer on Earth… or at least in New York City.
He was sitting in the middle of a light blue field with countless strelitzia flowers. Except they were not yellow or orange. They were apparently light blue. He looked up to find himself staring at the navy blue sky with trillions of stars.
“Am I dead?” He asked nervously.
“No.” The blue-eyed stranger got up from the ground. “Double God saved you.”
“What?”
“I said Double God saved you. Oh, pardon me! I forgot to introduce myself. I am the Head Priest for the Fifth Universe. My name is Tenshu.”
“Tenshu…” Gotsu said softly. He suddenly broke down into loud sobs as he covered his face with his own hands. “S-Scott… He died… He died in f-front of me! He… His soul was taken!”
“There, there…” Tenshu wrapped his arms around Gotsu’s shoulders, pulling him into his warm embrace. “Let it go.”
“And my family… What happened to them?” Gotsu asked quietly as he pulled himself out of Tenshu’s hug. “Are they dead too?”
“No… At least not yet.” Tenshu frowned. “Even though thousands of people died at once today, neither Heaven nor Hell hasn’t gotten a single soul. That’s how Double God determined that it was a Locker’s doing.”
“Locker?”
“The Lockers have the ability to take the souls and change them into the chains to lock up something as huge as a planet.” Tenshu reached out his hand for Gotsu to take. Gotsu did so, and he stood up and wiped his bottom.
“I saw them… I mean, the chains.” Gotsu mumbled. He wiped dry tears on his face with the back of his hands. “They took people’s souls. And this guy… the Locker, I guess… He told me that I am the Breaker. Do you know what he meant?”
“So that’s why Double God took you here in the first place. Come with me.” Tenshu turned around and made his way, being followed by Gotsu. “Apparently, there are two Lockers causing chaos on Earth. New York City and Washington D.C. were their first targets… However… It was an odd coincidence that both of you were there then.”
Gotsu raised an eyebrow. “‘Both of you’?”
Suddenly, a bright hole opened up a few feet away from Tenshu and Gotsu. A black-haired man appeared above the hole, which then closed up immediately. He blinked in surprise and asked in confusion, “Huh? What the hell is this place?”
“Kowareta, welcome,” said Tenshu cheerfully as he bowed his head a little.
Kowareta turned his head towards Tenshu and Gotsu and asked, “Who the hell are you guys?”
“I was sent here,” the High Priest answered right away. “I am the High Priest of the Fifth Universe. My name is Tenshu. I overlook the universe for Double God… Hikyou-sama.”
~*~
After a quick introduction by Gotsu and Kowareta, Tenshu took them to a beach. To their surprise, the sands were sparkling midnight blue while the waves of ocean that crashed onto the land were turquoise blue.
“Okay, this is where I depart,” Tenshu said with a smile on his face. He swung his hand through the air, leaving a ray of light behind. The ray of light rapidly extended into a portal.
“What, you’re leaving already?” Kowareta asked. “You claimed that we are the Breakers. What are we supposed to do?”
“Actually --” The High Priest was interrupted by a sudden gust of wind as well as a burst of sands upon an impact of landing right next to them.. “Here he is! I’m so sorry but my duty calls!” He hurriedly stepped through the portal.
“Tenshu!” Another man with a pair of light blue wings, in light blue tunic and navy blue pants, yelled as he shook his fist angrily right when the portal disappeared from his sight. He sighed lightly as he ran his hand through his smooth long black hair. He turned to Gotsu and Kowareta. “Let me guess… Double God is up to no good, isn’t he?”
Gotsu and Kowareta looked at each other in confusion. Gotsu started, “Um, who are you?”
The stranger narrowed his dark brown eyes in anger. He rubbed his throbbing forehead in frustration. “He didn’t tell you guys about me? I swear I told him that I didn’t want to train the Breakers! Oh right, he’d rather listen to so-called Double God, oh the mighty God in this universe!”
Gotsu scratched the back of his head nervously while Kowareta crossed his arms in annoyance. Gotsu asked, “Um, Tenshu said that he was bringing us to meet someone… but it looks like he left in a hurry. If you don’t mind, may you please introduce yourself?”
“Light Angel.”
“What?” Kowareta asked. “Don’t you have a name?”
“Obviously, Double God decided that I wasn’t worthy enough to earn a name. So, just call me Light Angel.” The stranger carelessly shrugged one of his shoulders. He turned away from Gotsu and Kowareta. “Besides, this planet.. My planet… No friends of Double God are welcome here. So, I suggest you get off here.”
When he realized that he did not get any response from Gotsu and Kowareta for a while, he asked impatiently, “Well, aren’t you leaving?”
“Um, Double God brought us here. We don’t know how to get out of here.” Gotsu was playing with his fingers shyly.
“Are you sure you are the Breakers?” Light Angel asked suspiciously. “I’m beginning to think that Double God got the wrong Breakers.”
“Oh shut up! I’d love to get the hell out of here because I have a family back on Earth who I need to get back to. So if I could get out, I’d do it within a heartbeat!” Kowareta snapped.
“Fine. See this sword?” Light Angel withdrew his sword from his scabbard and then tossed it onto the sands. “I put a soul in this sword because he sneaked onto my planet and tried to challenge me. I dare you to free him. He probably knows how to get off this planet.”
Before Gotsu and Kowareta could say a word, Light Angel quickly took off into the sky with the help of his light blue wings.
“Tch!” Kowareta fell back onto the sands. “Us, freeing a soul in his sword? What a joke!” He glanced at Gotsu. “Hey, what are you doing?”
“Trying to get back home.” Gotsu knelt down and picked up the sword. He took a careful look at it. “I’m worried about my family. Tenshu said that even though a lot of people died, their souls didn’t end up in Heaven for some reason. I need to find out whether my family is alive or not.”
Kowareta lifted himself a little with both of his elbows on the sands and was thinking for a short while. “...You’re right.”
Gotsu took a closer look at Light Angel’s sword. It was very thin and seemed to be some kind of long-bladed sword.
“That’s a rapier,” said Kowareta after he noticed Gotsu’s curiosity clearly showing on his face. “Considering what Light Angel wears, it looks like he hasn’t caught up with time yet.”
Gotsu gave him a light chuckle. “Yeah, you’re right.” He began searching all over the sword for the next five minutes.
“What are you doing?” Kowareta raised an eyebrow.
“I don’t know. Just… trying to find a way to free the soul?” Gotsu shrugged his shoulders. “Although, should we really do that? Didn’t you hear what Light Angel said?”
“What? All he did was to sneak into here and challenge Light Angel. I don’t see any crime he has committed.”
“True…” Gotsu mumbled. He ran his fingers across one of the small light blue wings on the side of the sword’s handle. He began to realize that it looked like a devil’s wings rather than an angel’s.
~*~
“You didn’t even try? You’ve been waiting for me for eight hours?”
Gotsu scratched the back of his head nervously. Kowareta was scowling with his arms crossed at his chest.
Light Angel rubbed his forehead in frustration. “Now I know Double God brought the wrong Breakers. Ugh, I had always known that he was not the great God like everyone else thought.”
“Do you dislike him?” Gotsu asked.
“Dislike, eh? That's a pretty nice way to say that.” Light Angel smirked for a few seconds before his lips turned into a frown. “I loathe him. He thinks he is a dictator. He thinks he can do whatever he wants. He thinks he can order everyone around whenever he wants.”
“Yeah, we get it. It’s obvious that you hate Double God, blah, blah... So now that we are not the Breakers… Is there a way you can take us back to Earth?” Kowareta asked.
“I can’t.” Light Angel put his sword back into his scabbard. “You’re on your own.”
“W-wait!” Gotsu cried, stopping Light Angel before he could fly away with the help of wings. “That sword… I mean… the wings on the handle…”
“Oh this?” Light Angel tapped his fingers on the devil’s wings. “Are you curious about this?”
Korewarta and Gotsu did not open their mouths, not even at once. Instead they avoided eye contact with Light Angel, who felt an annoyed twitch on his face.
“I am hungry. Do you have any food here?” Gotsu mumbled shyly. It was not even one second later when his stomach suddenly started growling.
“Same.” Korewarta still had his head turned away from Light Angel.
“Fine. No reason I should let you starve to death… actually, I do. After all, it was Double God who brought you here --” Light Angel was interrupted by Gotsu’s loud whine.
“But Keni!”
With his eyes widening in shock, Light Angel froze at ‘Keni’ that came out of Gotsu’s mouth. “What did you say, Gotsu?”
“Um… Keni? I figured that Light Angel would be too long if I called you that. So… I called you Keni instead. Because you are the boss, I guess.” Gotsu lazily shrugged his shoulders. He asked worriedly, “Is that ok with you? I didn’t mean to be rude.”
Light Angel quickly turned away from both Earthlings, trying not to show them that he was embarrassed because he started feeling warmth on his face cheeks. “I don’t care. If you’re hungry, come with me.”
~*~
“Hey, Keni. Does the sun ever come up?” Gotsu asks curiously after taking a bite of some kind of meat. He did not wish to know what the meat was as long as it was delicious.
“You ask a lot of questions,” Keni snapped. “And stop calling me Keni.”
“Keni, if we are not the Breakers, then why didn’t Double God or Tenshu come and get us?” Kowareta asked. “If you’re wasting time like this, then what should we do? Build a spaceship out of nothingness and leave here? If you hated Double God that much, why didn’t you just go and challenge him?”
“You ask way too many questions,” Keni hissed angrily. “And don’t call me Keni either!”
“But Keni --” Gotsu stopped when Keni got up fast and walked as far as possible. He pouted and then took another bite of meat. “What’s his problem?”
Kowareta shrugged his shoulders. He laid down on the floor of midnight blue sands. “I’m going to sleep. Wake me up if someone decides to bring us back to Earth.”
~*~
It was two weeks later when Keni finally came back to check on Gotsu and Kowareta to make sure that they were not dead.
It turned out that Gotsu forgave him easily, but Kowareta did not. Kowareta was so angry that Light Angel decided to leave them alone on their own. He was also angry that Double God and Tenshu just left them on this planet where they were not familiar with.
“I’m surprised you’re still alive though.” Keni tossed a large bag on the ground. “I went to another planet and got new clothes for you. And… hygiene stuff too. You guys stink.”
“Why, thank you, Keni!” Gotsu exclaimed. “Er, I mean, Light Angel. I’m so sorry it’s just that you look like a Keni.”
“Shut up and quit apologizing. I no longer care if you call me Keni or not.” Light Angel snapped in annoyance. He turned around and pointed his finger at the ocean. “When you’re done washing yourselves… get yourself in swimsuits and swim all the way. That’s where I live.”
“What?” Kowareta asked as he watched Light Angel lifting himself into the sky. “I can’t even see the land. And you expect us to swim all the way?”
“This is to prove that you’re worthy in the eyes of Double God,” Keni said. “As much as I hate Double God, his judgment of people isn’t too bad though.”
“But I…” Gotsu said nervously. “For my entire life, I’ve never exercised this much --”
“Oh, that’s too bad. I was really looking forward to seeing how strong you could get,” Keni said with an unusual cheerful smile on his face. “See you over there!”
~*~
“I’m so exhausted!” Gotsu whined loudly. He let himself float on the waving water. He looked around the vast sea and continued complaining, “I don’t even see land anymore!”
“We’ve been at this for one hour,” Kowareta snapped. “We will never get home if you whine like that.”
Gotsu did not respond back when he was staring at the midnight blue sky. “I know. I miss my family. I’m wondering what they are doing. Actually… I have to know that they are alive. And Scott…”
Kowareta glanced at Gotsu and was surprised to see a small frown on his face. “Let me guess… They took his soul?”
“Yes,” Gotsu said softly.
“Those bastards… they will never be forgiven!” Kowareta splashed water with his fist. “I had a dream a few days before they attacked. I believed that it was Double God who was trying to warn me of their upcoming destruction of Earth… Only if I had listened to my dream earlier… then maybe --”
“But then who would believe you?” Gotsu asked almost coldly, still not taking his eyes off the sky. “Double God was a myth. That’s why I didn’t tell anybody… except Scott… but he assured me that it was just a dream. Heck, he even suggested that I move out of the city because he was worried that I looked stressed. He had always been there for me when I was going through sad times... He… He didn’t deserve to die like that…!”
Before Kowareta could say a word, there was a sudden large wave crashing into them and then pulling them deeper and deeper.
He quickly opened his eyes when he choked on water that was going into his lungs but he quickly got himself together and was about to swim back up when he spotted Gotsu who was unconscious and going deeper and deeper into the darker water.
He widened his eyes when a large shadow casually swam behind Gotsu but it was quite hard to see in the dark water. Not wanting to waste any more time, Kowareta quickly made his way toward his new friend and swam harder and faster.
He finally grabbed Gotsu’s hand and started kicking his legs as fast as he could, heading straight for the water surface.
The surface was getting farther and farther, much to Kowareta’s confusion. He looked down only to realize that the same shadow from before was literally sucking with its wide open mouth.
Gotsu began to open his eyes, and the first thing that came into his sight was a large mouth of some kind of lizard-looking monster sea. He nearly yelped but choked on water instead as he swung his arm around. Suddenly, a large icicle in the size of an average forest tree appeared afterward and then fell towards the sea monster’s mouth.
The sucking stopped, and the sea monster swung its head violently and then fled deeper into the sea.
Kowareta and Gotsu gasped for air when they finally reached the surface. “G-Gotsu… are you ok?” Kowareta asked breathlessly.
Gotsu nodded his head. “Y-yeah…”
Kowareta smirked lightly. “Did you make that ice?”
“I did?” Gotsu took a look at his palm and shrugged his shoulders. “It could have come out of nowhere.”
Just in time the sea monster flew out of the sea over the Earthlings until it smoothly dove back into the water, making large violent waves. It had light blue skin, hundreds of teeth in its mouth, a long neck with a pair of gills, and short arms and legs but a long tail with large fins. It was much just like a leviathan from the old Earthling legends.
After the waves simmered down, Gotsu and Kowareta were already gasping for air because they continuously got hit by the waves. They realized that they were in the shadow so they slowly turned their heads toward the leviathan.
The leviathan was baring its large fangs, growling loudly, and glaring at them with its glowing blue eyes. Only its head and neck were out of water while the rest of its body were still inside the water. Its head was just hovering over two tiny humans, which were pretty much just like ants to it.
“Quick! Use your ice power or something!” Kowareta yelled worriedly.
“I don’t know how to use it!” Gotsu cried in panic as he raised his hands at the sea monster.
The leviathan thrust its head towards them at the super speed only to be stopped by thick and hard ice appearing all over its body and neck, leaving its head still intact.
“Wow, that’s tons of ice! You actually did it!” Kowareta exclaimed. When he spotted a floating ice sheet nearby, he quickly got on it. He waved his hands in the air as he called, “Hey, Gotsu! Can you make a path of ice between me and that fish monster?”
“O-okay,” Gotsu mumbled nervously. He concentrated on his hands hard. He flinched as he was watching sparkling orbs coming out of his palms. The second they landed on the water, they turned into ice in an instant. It was forming a path all the way to the thrashing head of the leviathan.
“So it was you who created that icicle back then. You literally saved our lives.” Kowareta nodded in approval after tapping one of his feet on the hard ice. “Now you can stay back. I will take care of this fish!”
Before Gotsu could say a word, there was a sudden gust of wind as soon as Kowareta made a step. To Gotsu’s awe, Kowareta was running very fast - probably as fast as a standard car. Or probably even faster.
A white aura started to glow on Kowareta’s fist as he pulled it back, waiting for the right time. As he got close enough to the leviathan, he threw a fist that suddenly burst into a large white energy. As soon as it landed on the leviathan’s long neck, the sea monster was sent all the way across the water until it disappeared back under the surface.
“Wow…!” Gotsu exclaimed as he was getting on a new ice sheet that he recently created. “I had no idea you are strong!”
Kowareta clenched and unclenched his fist a few times, making sure that nothing was broken. “Yeah, but it took a lot of my stamina for this strength.”
They flinched at a sudden boom of loud roar all the way from hundreds of miles away. Gotsu asked nervously, “What, is it still alive?”
The first thing they noticed was a raging series of waves approaching fast and closer. Kowareta quickly got into a fighting pose, already mentally being prepared to die.
“Don’t!” Gotsu screamed and closed his eyes tightly as he quickly pointed his hand, which was glowing in purple color.
The leviathan screeched to halt just a few inches away from him. It tilted its head in confusion as it whimpered.
“I-It stopped?” Kowareta blinked in surprise as he dropped the fighting mode. He scratched the back of his head in confusion.
“Ah, a tamer, I see.”
Kowareta and Gotsu turned their heads fast toward the hovering angel in the sky as soon as they heard his voice.
“I see that you learned way more than just a couple of hours ago,” Light Angel said. “I panicked when I heard the leviathan’s roar. I thought you were going to die for sure, but here you are… trying to tame it when not even I am able to.”
“Really?” Gotsu asked. He yelped in surprise when the leviathan happily licked him with its large purple tongue.
~*~
“Are you really going to keep it?” Kowareta raised an eyebrow, watching as the leviathan yawned loudly and lay down on the floor of sand.
Gotsu laughed heartily as he was caressing the leviathan’s long neck, making it purr happily. He shrugged one of his shoulders. “I guess so? Actually it’s a she. She followed us here. Actually...” He suddenly remembered, “That must explain the reason why all those stray dogs and cats always followed me home after work.”
“What you have is called a taming energy,” Keni said as he turned around to walk towards a small cabin on the hill. “It’s one of the rarest and most powerful energies in the universe. Basically, if you leave the leviathan here and are fighting someone on another planet, you can summon it over there to assist you in the fight. So, that will be handy if you fight the Lockers anytime soon.”
“We are not interested in fighting. We just want to go home and find our families,” Kowareta said, as he and Gotsu were catching up with Keni on the way to the cabin.
“It was Double God who brought you here,” Keni said. “As much as I dislike it, we cannot question those above us.”
“But why? What exactly is it that he is looking into us?” Gotsu asked. “And, you said that Double God brought the wrong Breakers here.”
“I was wrong,” Keni mumbled a little angrily. “After I saw the way you fought off the leviathan, you fit in the profile of Breakers. Here…”
He tossed two double-edged swords at the humans who caught them easily. “Every Breaker is always equipped with a sword. They always used it to cut down the chains. The Lockers that attacked Earth were using the citizens’ souls to create chains in order to lock up the planet. So, you are going to unlock the Earth by destroying the chains.”
“Can’t Double God just destroy those chains?” Kowareta asked.
“No. Breakers and Lockers were created by two other Gods a long time before Double God even existed. Double God does not have any powers that you do. That’s why he needs your help. Right now, in this universe, you are the only two Breakers left.”
~*~
After days of tiring training, Light Angel decided to give the new Breakers a break for one day. Gotsu got to spend more time with the leviathan, whom he named Suijin. Not too long ago, he also found and then tamed a black deer, who was much larger than the humans but smaller than Suijin, in a small forest that was not too far away. He learned from Light Angel that the deer was more than 2,000 years old. He named him Fukurokuju.
Kowareta stretched out his arms as he yawned loudly. He rubbed his tired eyes. “That was a good nap.” He scanned the area and asked, “Hey, Gotsu. Where is that angel?”
Gotsu shrugged his shoulders and then returned to cooing to the purring leviathan.
Just a few minutes later, Light Angel dropped from the sky and landed gracefully on the blue ground. “Hey, you guys. Come with me.”
They came with him into his small wooden cabin, where there was just one big room. One of the corners consisted of a small kitchen. There was one bed against the wall opposite from the door. Opposite from the kitchen, a table with four chairs was also set against the wall.
“Have a seat, please,” Light Angel said unusually politely. He continued after they sat down on the chairs, “The Lockers have been building up the chains much faster than Double God expected.”
“Huh? What do you mean?” Gotsu asked nervously.
“Sooner or later, Earth will be completely sealed from the rest of the universe. Without Double God being on Earth, the Heart of the Fifth Universe will be dying for sure. It needs the balance of light and darkness, which only Double God can provide.”
“So, what now?” Kowareta asked.
“You are going to go straight to the final training…I’m going to have you unlock my sword and free the soul. It’s exactly the same as freeing the souls from the chains.”
“Didn’t you say that this soul of a person who intruded your planet and challenged you?” Kowareta raised an eyebrow.
Keni smirked at him. “You will find out when you free him.”
~*~
“So, we only have five days to free whoever’s soul it is, eh?” Kowareta crossed his arms with a frown on his face. He tapped his own sword on Light Angel’s a few times before he took a look at it. “Not even my sword is working.”
“I think I may have accidentally destroyed a few doorknobs back then…” Gotsu said as he recalled when he made the door knobs disappear by just touching it. “But I forgot how to do it though.”
Light Angel came back a few hours later just in time when Gotsu and Kowareta gave up on trying. He scowled at how lazy they were. “Double God wouldn’t bring you here if he didn’t believe in you as the Breakers.”
“Say… why don’t we spar?” Kowareta suggested.
Light Angel roared into loud laughter. “You gotta be kidding me! You, fight an Angel who is just a rank away from a God? I hope you aren’t serious.”
“Actually, we are serious,” Gotsu said, not even showing a smile on his face. “Because when we fought Suijin, she helped us unlock our powers. So, we thought perhaps fighting you could help us find the power of Breakers.”
“What he said.” Kowareta nodded his head in agreement.
“You got a point there,” Keni said as he picked up his sword. “But I am not going easy on you!”
Countless icicles suddenly appeared floating around Gotsu. Before he sent them flying toward Light Angel, he said, “Ready or not, here I come!”
Without even using his second hand or at least moving his body, Light Angel easily deflected every single icicle away with his sword. He half-smirked in amusement at Gotsu’s surprised face.
Kowareta suddenly appeared in Light Angel’s sight and then fed lion energy into his foot as he swung it towards his opponent.
Keni easily blocked Kowareta’s kick with his bare hand.
“What?!” Kowareta cried in surprise as he quickly leaped away from the Light Angel.
“There is a huge gap between our powers,” Keni placed his sword back into the scabbard. “As you can see, you’re no match for me.”
“You’re amazing!” Gotsu exclaimed. “But… I don’t understand… Why can’t you join us and fight against the Lockers?”
“I…” Keni looked away from Gotsu. “I just can’t. Besides, like I said before, you are the only ones who can defeat the Lockers.”
“You said you did not like Double God. Did something happen between you both?” Kowareta was trying to push Keni’s buttons. “Did you do something that angered him?”
“Shut up!” Light Angel snapped. “Who the hell do you think I am?! I am Light Angel! Hell, I even told him that I never wanted to train you in the first place!”
“Keni --” Gotsu was quickly interrupted.
“I am not Keni!”
“Well, your reaction is telling me that you definitely angered Double God in some way.” Kowareta said calmly. “Is that why you are alone on this planet?”
“Kowareta, let’s stop pushing him.” Gotsu placed his hand on his friend’s shoulder. “It’s not helping at all…”
“You were right. I pissed off Double God so bad that I couldn’t take it back so he banished me from Heaven. Just… that was a long time ago,” Light Angel said softly, as he took a look at the handle of his sword, taking in its bat wings as if it was reminding him of who he had become into. “You can just call me a fallen angel from Heaven… or at least an angel that turned into a devil.”
There was an awkward silence among three men.
“This planet is all yours? Lucky bastard,” Kowareta said light-heartedly with a small smirk on his face. “I’ve never liked people anyway.”
“Right! We have the pasts that we regret… but we learned from them, didn’t we?” Gotsu said cheerfully. “So who cares about what you did?”
Keni blinked in surprise. He half-smirked and then got into a fighting pose. “Let’s continue our spar, shall we?”

MIAMI, FLORIDA
A painful ghostly shriek echoed all across the silent dark city. The sky was covered with large chains, covering both moon and sun. Countless various animals were nowhere to be seen, not even a bird.
“Shishi, you’re being too loud. I could hear you miles away,” The man with short dark gray hair snapped after walking all the way.
“Sorry, big bro -- I mean, Taichi.” Shishi licked his lips as he lightly tapped his foot onto a newly female corpse. “I was trying to get her soul, but she was pretty tough. She really fought back.”
Taichi did not say anything as he sat on the old blue bench in front of the ocean. He was watching dark waves crashing onto the sand.
“So, how long are we staying here?” Shishi asked. “I saw a huge planet that we passed by, but you told me that we’d go there next after Earth. Why don’t we go there now?”
“Ah, Jupiter isn’t it?” Taichi said as he closed his eyes, leaning back into the bench. “There’s nothing over there anyway. There’s something… that is very important to Double God.”
Shishi raised an eyebrow in confusion. “Important?”
Taichi flashed a huge grin on his face as he got up from the bench and stretched his arms tiredly. “Don’t you worry. I just want to make sure that you survive.”
“Survive? What do you mean --” Shishi stopped when he realized Taichi was already gone. He frowned in wonder and asked himself, “Important to Double God, eh?”

“Wall of Ice!” Gotsu yelled as he swung his arms upward. An enormous amount of ice the size of a mountain suddenly appeared out of nowhere in front of him.
Kowareta ran so fast that he literally got from Gotsu to the top of the ice mountain within ten seconds. He jumped high into the air before doing an ax kick as he dropped back down. As soon as one of his heels landed on the ice mountain, it got destroyed into millions of pieces in an instant.
“Perfect.” Light Angel nodded his head in approval. “It’s time for a break.”
“Finally! I’m so hungry!” Gotsu yelled in eagerness as he sat down and crossed his legs. He grabbed his lunch box next to him. As soon as he touched a lock on the lunch box, it disappeared instantly. The lid opened slightly. He blinked in surprise and said, “Hey… this reminded me of…”
“Ah, you finally used aita energy?” Light Angel smirked. “It’s about time! And you, Kowareta… you need to catch up to him soon!”
Kowareta rolled his dark eyes at Keni’s comment and leaned sideways a little as he placed his hand on the handle of Keni’s sword. Suddenly, a bright yellow light on the handle flashed, making Kowareta pull his hand away quickly.
“What?” Gotsu titled his head a little. He was still holding a turkey sandwich, which was close to his mouth.
“I see… What you guys did was an obvious accident. This energy is called Aita. Only Breakers have this power. Do you remember the feeling? If so, try touching my sword one more time. Gotsu, join Kowareta too,” Light Angel said.
Gotsu and Kowareta both placed their hands on Keni’s sword. Just immediately, a ghostly voice shrieked as a white soul flowed right out of the sword.
“Ah, finally! It’s about time! It’s been a few thousands years since I got sealed!” The soul of an angel with a pair of blue wings yelled in excitement as he raised his ghostly fists in the air. As soon as he turned to Keni, he squeaked in panic and then dove behind Gotsu.
“Thanks to those guys, they freed you. So I don’t give a flying bird about what you do.” Light Angel shrugged his shoulders. “Go back to your own universe. Or stay with them. I don’t care.”
“I’m sorry but… didn’t you say you put him in the sword because he challenged you?” Kowareta asked. “Why does he look like an angel just like you?”
The soul made loud raspberries at Light Angel. “I am the Angel from the Fourth Universe. Actually, I’m in training to be an Angel. My name is Emir. With the approval of both Double God and my God, I was sent here to challenge Light Angel.”
“There is more than one universe?” Gotsu almost gasped in awe but he held it back.
“You killed him, Keni?” Kowareta narrowed his eyes dangerously at Light Angel. “Is that why you wanted us to free him?”
“I could free him anytime I wanted to. The reason why I did this was because Double God told me that one day you would be here to free him.” Keni responded.
Emir whistled. “Oh, you finally have a name?”
“Shut up.” Keni snapped.
Emir turned to Gotsu and Kowareta. He bowed his head politely. “I thank you for saving me. Actually freeing my soul, that is. Too bad I’m dead. So now… if there’s anything that I can repay you before I return to the Fourth Universe, let me know!”
Gotsu and Kowareta looked at each other and nodded their heads in agreement without saying a word.
“Actually, just go home,” Kowareta said.
“Sure -- Hey! What? Why?!” Emir cried as tears came streaming down his face suddenly. He dramatically fell to the ground and started drawing the ground with his forefinger. He was pouting angrily like an upset child and asked quietly, “Do you hate me?”
“But we don’t want to force you to fight.” Gotsu scratched the back of his head.
Emir suddenly gilded upward from the ground until his face was an inch away from Gotsu’s but that only made the new Breaker nervously lean back a little bit. “But I want to repay you by helping you out!”
“Says an angel who wanted to challenge me a long time ago.” Light Angel rolled his eyes. “Everyday, he showed up at my cabin and challenged me until one day I got fed up with him.”
“Now I see what you mean.” Kowareta sweatdropped.
“Okay, okay! You can help us out.” Gotsu laughed nervously, trying to get Emir to stop rolling around and throwing a loud tantrum like a child.
“I can?! Awesome!” Emir exclaimed in excitement. “Say, you have a taming energy, right? You can summon me whenever you need me to! I’ll be in Keni’s sword and await your signal!”
“Just leave.” Light Angel grunted in annoyance, but then Emir just let himself into his sword. “What an annoying idiot. That’s probably why Tafu-sama sent him here.”
“Tafu-sama?” Gotsu asked curiously.
“He is the God of the Fourth Universe.” Light Angel shrugged his shoulders. “I’ve never met him before though. I don’t think Double God had ever met him either. From what I heard, Tafu-sama is a quiet and reserved guy because he gets embarrassed easily.”
~*~
A portal the size of a door appeared out of nowhere next to Light Angel. It was Tenshu who stepped out of the portal. He bowed his head a little bit to Light Angel and then turned to Gotsu and Kowareta. He said cheerfully, “Hiya! I see that you have changed your outfits.”
He noticed that Gotsu and Kowareta were wearing a similar warrior outfit. Gotsu was wearing a pair of white gloves, white outerwear with black jacket with a picture of light blue wings on the back, pants with black and white patterns with a blue line that ran from top to the bottom, white combat boots with black tips. Kowareta was wearing the same outfit, except his gloves and outerwear was black, jacket was white, and combat boots were black with white tips.
Keni turned to Gotsu and Kowareta and gave them a light-hearted smile for the first time ever even though there was a little bit of sadness in his brown eyes. “I no longer have anything to teach you now. You’re ready.”
Kowareta turned away from Light Angel as Gotsu was tearing up.
“We will miss you too!” Gotsu rubbed his teary eyes. “If it weren’t for you, then we wouldn’t know where to start. Especially since Tenshu told us that we are the Breakers. We really owe our lives to you, Tenshu, and Double God!”
“Sorry to cut your farewell early, but Earth is going to be completely sealed up anytime soon. Then I can never get you there,” Tenshu said impatiently. He flickered his waist as he created a new door-sized portal appeared in front of them.
“I guess this is goodbye --” Keni was interrupted.
“No. This isn’t goodbye because we will come back,” Kowareta said, followed by Gotsu’s eager and loud “yeah!” “You are alone on this entire planet, aren’t you? We can come back and visit you once this Breaker and Locker thing is over.”
Light Angel hesitated at first as he opened his mouth but no word came out. He relaxed a little bit and said softly, “Yeah.”
He and Tenshu watched as Gotsu, who waved his hands, and Kowareta walked through the portal, which then closed and disappeared in an instant.
“Light Angel, Hikyou-sama sent his regards to you.” Tenshu gave him a small smile.
“Who cares about him? What about Dark Angel? Have you seen him lately?” Keni asked. “I haven’t heard anything from him in a while. It must have been nearly a thousand years since he last visited.”
Tenshu looked away from Keni and said sadly, “No… He hasn’t said anything… or at least he never asked me to send you his words.”
“I see.”

BERLIN, GERMANY
The portal shrank into nothingness. Gotsu took a deep breath of air and said, “Ah, it’s so good to be back!”
“Except it’s a mess here.” Kowareta scowled as he eyed the area that seemed to have a much darker atmosphere than ever.
Thunder consistently boomed in and lightning flashed across the sky. The wind never stopped blowing at all. Countless buildings, from houses to tallest skyscrapers, had collapsed into large ruins and piles of debris. Every street was completely empty, except small cars that were not moving at all.
Gotsu placed the side of his hand at his forehead as he was looking up at the dark sky. “Didn’t Keni say that there were chains that covered Earth? Why can’t I see it?”
Kowareta did not answer his question, but instead he said, “Let’s find the Lockers. Can you call Marici here and see if she can find them from the sky?”
“Great idea!” Gotsu knelt down and placed his hand on the ground. A bright orange circle under him appeared suddenly and was widening until it reached ten times the size of an average human being.
A huge yellow bird came flying out of the portal fast and then landed gently next to Gotsu. She put down her head for him to start petting her and purring happily.
“I hope you don’t mind helping us out, Marici? Can you please find the Lockers?” Gotsu asked. Marici squeaked in response before she lifted herself higher and higher into the sky until she started flying away into the flashing sky.
He turned to Kowareta. “While we are waiting, let’s scout, shall we?”
~*~
“Finally! What took you so long?” Shishi crossed his arms with a frown on his face, watching his older brother landing gracefully from the sky by using hawk energy. “Where did you go?”
“I was looking for the Heart, but then I saw that odd yellow bird.” Taichi turned away from his younger brother and pointed his finger at a large bird flying across the dark sky. “It’s not like other birds because it’s acting like it’s searching for something… or someone. Besides, I’ve never seen another bird like it since we came here a few months ago.”
Shishi flashed a huge grin on his face. He pointed his open palm at the oblivious bird and asked, “Let’s see if it gets into an accident with lightning, eh?”
“Be my guest.” Taichi carelessly shrugged his shoulders.
Shishi casually tossed a lightning bolt that was created out of his palm at Marici. It perfectly crashed into the large yellow bird, who squeaked in pain.
Taichi narrowed his eyes in suspicion when the bird fell from the sky but then disappeared into thin air. He quickly turned to Shishi. “Someone found us!”
“What?” Shishi asked in confusion.
“Remember that small woman with taming energy when we fought her a few planets ago? How we almost died because of powerful animals?”
Shishi felt his body tremble a little in fear at the memory of nearly getting stomped to death by a large brachiosaurus. “Yeah but didn’t she die?”
“Yes… but be prepared. It’s likely that Double God sent someone else that is strong enough to fight us.” Taichi said. “If you’re afraid, then run and hide. I will fight whoever that is.”
“N-no… I’ll stay and fight alongside you,” Shishi said firmly.
It did not take too long for them to wait when Kowareta suddenly appeared in their sight as he stopped himself, sliding across the area and leaving a narrow yet long ditch behind. Gotsu followed immediately afterward on his ice path that he created so he could skid faster than he could run.
“What did you do to Marici?!” Gotsu snapped. When he did not get any response, he released a chilly breath from his mouth. He briefly glanced at the surrounding area and noticed the huge mess; the large piles of debris from the ruined buildings, some fresh corpses, and living people who either hid or ran as far as possible. He asked, “Did you do this? And to all other cities and people on this Earth?”
“Who the hell are you?” Taichi scoffed, not bothering to answer the questions.
“The chains.” Kowareta pointed his finger at the dark clouds, also evading the question. He half-smirked when both Lockers flinched at the simple word. He continued, “We will break them and free the souls.”
Shishi scowled even deeper but he was not able to stop himself from trembling in fear at Kowareta’s powerful words.
Taichi quickly got himself together and chortled lightly with his hand covering the top half of his face. “Only Breakers and Lockers can see the chains… I knew you looked familiar. That night… Double God took you away, didn’t he?”
“And we decided to come back.” Kowareta was withdrawing his sword from the holster at his waist. He pointed his weapon at his enemies.
“Why you!” Shishi yelled angrily. He threw a couple of lightning bolts at the Breakers, but Kowareta easily deflected them away with his sword. He widened his eyes in shock and asked, “What?”
“Shishi, stay back!” Taichi shouted as he quickly raised his arms, pointing his open palms at the Breakers. Water was being gathered into an orb, hovering in front of his hands.
Dozens of icicles were floating around Gotsu. Without him doing anything at all, the icicles were being sent flying fast toward the Lockers, but the orb of water suddenly got bigger so the icicles thrust into the water and slowed down until complete halt.
Taichi released a big sigh of relief but it did not last long when he realized that Kowareta had jumped high into the air. Kowareta was dropping faster and faster with his sword with white energy burning on the tip, which is pointing at the street.
The older Locker quickly grabbed Shishi’s hand and took off into the air right before Kowareta reached the road. As soon as Kowareta’s sword touched the street, a crater instantly appeared before their eyes.
“What? He has lion energy too?” Shishi asked in awe, not pulling his eyes away from the huge crater. At least, not until another bright orange light caught his attention.
Gotsu had already knelt down and his hand was on the large orange circle on the cracked street. “Suijin, let’s go!”
The leviathan came gliding right out of the circle into the air and then roared loud enough to send a wave of shock across the sky.
“So it was him, after all… Unlike a few months ago, he is not going to be easy to defeat after all,” Shishi said quietly as Taichi carefully placed him back on the ground.
“Don’t think like that, my little brother.” Taichi scowled, as he raised one of his arms into the air. “Because I’m here.”
Suddenly, a whole tsunami appeared hovering over the entire city. Taichi laughed out loud at Gotsu and Kowareta’s fearful reaction and said, “You know… I certainly didn’t expect that we would encounter powerful opponents like you… So, it’s time to get serious!”
Before the tsunami could crash the Breakers, the leviathan suddenly swept underneath and then gilded upward into the large amount of water. The tsunami began to shrink until there was nothing left of water.
“Eh?” Taichi was in shock.
“Didn’t you know that I summoned a leviathan… basically a god of sea?” Gotsu smirked but then the smirk was replaced by a concerned frown on his face. “Can you please let go of those souls and leave Earth? Double God was expecting us to kill you, but… we don’t want to unless we absolutely have to.”
“Why the hell do you think we did this for fun?! We are dying either way!” Shishi yelled angrily. “Double God had always wanted the Lockers to be gone completely!”
“Everybody dies sooner or later, don’t they?” Kowareta asked.
“You’re right,” Taichi said calmly. “But unlike you, we will not be reincarnated.”
“Hold on…” Gotsu said before Kowareta could respond back to Taichi. He turned away from his comrade to the Lockers. “What did you mean by Double God wanting the Lockers to be gone?”
Shishi glanced at his older brother as he was waiting for him to answer but what he saw was surprising. Taichi had a soft smile on his face.
“Our only job is to lock up every world so that people wouldn’t be allowed to visit each other. However… back then, it was not Double God who created us. It was the original Light and Dark Gods. You could say that we had been living since the beginning of the universe,” Taichi said calmly. “What we didn’t know back then… it was that we used people’s souls to create the chains. We never knew that until Double God told us.”
“Are you actually serious about telling this to them?” Shishi growled lightly.
Taichi ignored him as he continued, “The first time that we heard about it was… sickening. All of those centuries of using the souls to lock up the planets placed a heavy burden on every single Locker. When Double God told us to stop using our ability, we agreed right away. But… then…”
Kowareta and Gotsu waited patiently as Taichi was trying to find the correct words. Taichi finally said, “Those Lockers… One by one they died. At first, we thought it was some kind of disease but then we realized that we needed those souls to keep ourselves alive. So, we got back to creating chains again but… Double God sent the Breakers to kill off the rest of Lockers. We lost so many sisters and brothers in one day.”
The leviathan growled impatiently and was still hovering above Gotsu and Kowareta. “That’s so sad,” Gotsu said softly. “But… I have a question.”
Taichi raised an eyebrow.
“You took countless people's souls. Yet, here you are telling us about how cruel your lives were. If you knew mercy, why didn’t you give it to them before you decided to take their souls in the first place?”
Neither of the Lockers answered Gotsu’s question right away. Lightning bolts flashed across the dark sky, followed by thunder booming. Soon, the raindrops began falling from the dark clouds, completely soaking all warriors.
“You took my best friend’s life and soul,” Gotsu said bitterly, followed by a loud roar that was let out by Suijin.
“I knew they would never understand.” Shishi placed his hands on his hips. He looked up at the leviathan. He flashed a big grin on his face and asked, “Didn’t you say that she is a god of sea?”
He raised his hand in the air. Suddenly, lightning bolts came down from the dark clouds, striking the leviathan, who then roared in pain.
“Suijin!” Gotsu cried in concern as he watched the leviathan disappearing into thin air. He then gave the Lockers a glare. “Wall of Ice!”
Taichi quickly grabbed Shishi’s hand and then flew into the air just in time a mountain of ice with millions of sharp attached icicles appeared out of nowhere. He stared at the icy mountain in awe. That’s huge…! It has to be the biggest ice attack I’ve ever seen.
“Taichi!” Shishi cried. Taichi quickly followed where he was looking only to find Kowareta running at nearly the speed of light until he got to the top. Not stopping at all, Kowareta leaped so hard toward the dark clouds. He withdrew his sword with red energy bursting around the tip. Before the Lockers could stop him, he quickly swung his weapon across the sky.
The thick and huge chains suddenly appeared, visible to every human all over the world. It cracked loudly, flashing rays of light, followed by shrieks of the souls. It finally blew up into a countless number of pieces.
The Lockers watched helplessly as the souls were leaving into the vast space, heading for either Hell or Heaven. “Why you!” Shishi yelled angrily as he rushed off when Kowareta managed to land safely on his feet.
They both threw fists at each other. As soon as they connected, a sudden wave of shock from them cut down a nearby tree. It nearly sent away Taichi and Gotsu but it took some of their strength to stick their feet on the floor.
Shishi sent another lightning bolt at Kowareta, who easily deflected it away with his sword. He rushed toward his opponent and threw a glowing fist, which was bursting with lion energy, but it was blocked by Kowareta’s bare hand. He asked in surprise, “What?!”
Kowareta quickly countered with a fist of his own, which successfully landed on Shishi’s face, sending him across the street.
Having watched his younger brother getting knocked away by the Breaker, Taichi scowled deeply as his jaw was clenching in anger. Shit…! I hate to do this but I have no choice…!
He lifted his hand until he pointed his forefinger at Kowareta. Purple smoke came out of his fingertip and glided towards the Breaker.
Suddenly, an orange circle appeared next to the Breaker. A large black deer, named Fukurokuju by Gotsu, twice the size as an average human, emerged from the circle. His horns easily absorbed the poisonous smoke, leaving nothing of it behind.
“Eh?” Taichi widened his eyes in shock.
“Thanks!” Kowareta gave Gotsu a thumb-up. He glanced at the older Locker. “You’re no match for us. Surrender now.”
The Breakers spotted a sudden spark of lightning bolt coming from the unconscious Locker only to realize that he was not unconscious anymore. Shishi was getting up carefully as his entire body was trembling either in soreness or pain. Lightning sparked around his body again.
“You gotta be k-kidding us…” Shishi mumbled angrily. He spit out a small amount of blood. “You are just… new Breakers. Barely trained at all… How is it possible that… we can’t even defeat you!”
“Shishi, calm do --” Taichi started but was interrupted.
“Didn’t we live longer than Double God did?! It was because of him that our siblings died!” Shishi screamed. He pointed his finger at the Breakers. “You… Compared to us, you should’ve been nothing to us!”
He clenched his hand into a fist, which then started glowing in white. He quickly pounded it into the ground, creating a small hole in an instant. He was panting heavily until he flinched at Taichi’s touch on his shoulder.
Taichi leaned down and whispered to Shishi, “No matter how much we did, the Breakers will never kill us. They are expecting us to give up, but… I agree with what you said… We are supposed to be stronger than they are. But even so… we are at the advantage.”
Shishi looked up at Taichi with confusion on his face. When he glanced back at the Breakers, he realized that there was a trail of water all the way from Taichi to them.
Suddenly, the trail of water turned into a couple of whips, which then wrapped around the Breakers.
“What?!” Gotsu cried in surprise as he and Kowareta were trying to get out of the water whips, but they were too strong for them.
“Don’t ever drop your guard.” Taichi gave them a smirk.
Fukurokuju grunted loudly as he charged towards the Lockers. As he swung his head toward Taichi, he suddenly got hit by a lightning bolt. He cried as he was shaking his head violently before he disappeared into the air.
“Fuku!” Gotsu shouted in concern as he was trying to pull the water whip off but his hand went through it. “Crap!”
“Gotsu! Use your foot to summon!” Kowareta shouted as he was grunting at how tight the water whip was.
“Eh?” Taichi blinked in surprise when Gotsu stomped one of his feet on the floor, creating another large orange circle. “Shishi! Here comes another one!”
They were bracing for another large animal which might make a sudden attack on them. Instead of a large animal, they were surprised to see a small fennec fox climbing out of the orange circle. The fox was purring as he was rubbing his head with his own paw.
“Setekh!” Gotsu commanded loudly. “Use the sandstorm!”
Setekh bared a set of fangs in his mouth growling loudly as he dashed towards the Lockers. He started with a small gust of sands behind himself but the further he ran, the bigger amount of sands it became. By the time he was just a few yards away from the Lockers, the sandstorm was already taking over the entire battlefield.
The water whips were easily absorbed into the roaring sands. Gotsu and Kowareta knelt down and were panting heavily after struggling to break free from the whips for the entire time.
“Thanks,” Kowareta said and earned a thumbs-up from the other grinning Breaker. “Let’s finish this, shall we?”
Gotsu frowned and said softly, “Yeah --” He spotted Shishi in the air and realized that the Locker had jumped all the way out of the sandstorm.
Shishi lifted his leg, which then was covered with bursting white energy. Soon, he dropped back into the sandstorm until he landed hard on his heel. The impact not only created another crater but also blew away the sandstorm.
As soon as the sands were clearing, Gotsu widened his eyes in concern as he found Taichi holding an angry howling fox by his neck. “Setekh!”
“You know… your little pets are getting more annoying every time,” Taichi said angrily as he dropped the fox and then kicked him away. He sent a beam of water from his fingertip at the fox. It hit him easily, vanishing him into the air once again. He continued, “Setekh, eh? A god of desert? What a joke. I hope you don’t have any more pets to fight with.”
Thunder boomed again when Shishi grinned widely at the Breakers. He said, “It’s too bad that you were overconfident at the beginning… now look at yourselves.”
“Kowareta!” Gotsu cried in panic when he spotted a long set of chains moving towards his partner.
Kowareta easily pierced the chains with his own sword. His entire body was emitting off yellow energy as he gave the Lockers a deadly glare. “Didn’t you say that you couldn’t take our souls because we are the Breakers?”
“You weakling!” Shishi laughed out loud as he raised his arms above himself. Soon, thousands of lightning bolts came rushing down from the dark sky.
Gotsu shut his eyes as he quickly stomped his palms on the ground, hoping that he has sufficient taming energy. Please… just one more…!
The orange circle was bigger than any of the previous circles that Gotsu used to summon all other animal gods from Light Angel’s planet.
A figure was slowly coming out of the circle but by the time lightning bolts were approaching even closer to the Breakers, they stopped suddenly.
“What the hell?” Taichi asked in shock. Was he imagining that the lightning bolts literally stopped in movement? He turned to Shishi and saw that his brother was dropping his jaw. It wasn’t his imagination at all.
Snickers came out of the summoned figure as he fully emerged from the circle. He opened his glowing blue eyes with a smile on his translucent face. “Gotsu… I’m glad you called me.”
“Emir…” Kowareta said softly, almost in relief.
“You summoned an angel? Is that even possible?” Taichi asked in confusion. “Aren't there only two Angels in this universe?”
“Isn’t Emir one of the Angels?” Gotsu asked.
“They were talking about Dark Angel,” Emir said with a light-hearted chuckle. “Dark and Light Angels had fallout a long time ago. Light Angel was always waiting for Dark Angel… for so long.”
Shishi narrowed his eyes. “Dark Angel died almost a thousand years ago. Just briefly after Light and Dark Gods died.”
“What?” Emir asked. “Why didn’t I hear of that from Light Angel?”
“It’s because he had no idea. After all, he was banished to a planet, which is considered to be a prison,” Taichi chortled. “The only way to get off or on the planet is either Double God or Head Priest.”
“Hn… poor Light Angel…” Emir grabbed one of Shishi’s frozen lightning bolts. He started stroking across it with his fingertips. He shifted his glowing blue eyes toward the Lockers while he was still facing the lightning bolt. A grin was being formed on his clear face. “The sooner I finish you off, the sooner I get back to Light Angel!”
“He’s a soul. Let’s catch him.” Taichi pointed his open palm at Emir. Soon, a long set of chains came rushing out of his hand.
“Right!” Shishi exclaimed as he did what his older brother did.
Two sets of chains were flying through the air until they reached Emir. In return, Emir smirked, to the Lockers’ confusion.
The chains went right through his soul form. Emir asked in amusement, “Did you seriously think that you could capture me with your toy?”
“H-how is it p-possible?” Shishi asked with a little fear in his tone. “I’d understand if it was a god, but how d-did just a mere angel…?”
Emir casually tossed the lightning bolt into the air but he kept his eyes on the Lockers. Immediately afterward, the lightning bolts that were frozen in the air suddenly returned back to his opponents.
“Shit! Shishi!” Taichi cursed as he quickly created a large wall of water. By the time the lightning bolts were caught up in the water, he realized that it was a bad idea because he screamed in pain as he got electrified by hundreds of lightning bolts. The water was still connected from the wall of water to his hand.
“Taichi!” Shishi yelled out of concern as he ran toward him. His older brother collapsed to his knees, struggling not to go into unconsciousness.
“Your lightning bolts are nothing compared to mine,” Emir took a few steps further and then stopped. “Back in my home universe… Everyone used to call me Flash Angel. My lightning attacks usually flash. I also control everything that is associated with lightning or electricity… including the ones at molecular level. You won’t even realize that they are coming.”
Emir’s entire soul form started to glow in light blue color. Calm white energy was emitting off his body as it was gathering from dark clouds, ruined buildings, and floors into one concentrated orb hovering in front of the angel’s soul form. It exploded into a long beam that was expanding rapidly towards the Lockers. Its width was much bigger than an average person's.
Shishi quickly wrapped his arms around his half-conscious brother’s shoulders as he was trembling in fear. He closes his eyes tightly. Suddenly, a white barrier appeared and took the powerful blast from Emir’s lightning attack.
It was then reflected back at Emir. The angel cried in surprise, “What?!”
As he was being consumed by his most powerful attack, he shouted out loud, “It… It’s impossible! Did that brat… just use reflect energy?”
“Emir!” Gotsu exclaimed in concern as he was watching the angel from the Fourth Universe vanishing into the air from the lightning attack.
“Shit,” Kowareta cursed as he glanced at the Lockers. “What the hell did Shishi do?”
Taichi pulled himself out of Shishi’s embrace and smiled at him. “I’m ok.” He carefully got up from his knees and then took a deep but shakily breath. He glanced back at the Breakers. “It’s time to end this.”
Gotsu quickly withdrew his sword from his holster and got into the fighting pose.
Emir was his last chance of defeating Lockers. At this point, Gotsu was not sure if he should make the first move or not. If the Lockers started something, then it might be all over for Earth.
Kowareta quickly ran past Gotsu, who quickly followed after him. Gotsu swung his sword, sending several icicles through the air but they were deflected into a few ruined buildings by Taichi’s water barrier.
All four warriors were either attacking or blocking each other with either fists or swords. None of them were using any of their powers, now that they were too exhausted by now.
Kowareta quickly fed rush energy into his hand that was holding his sword. He was thrusting his weapon towards Shishi’s chest.
Shishi quickly shut his eyes tightly, expecting intense pain to come. But it never did. He opened his eyes only to freeze at the sight. Taichi had jumped in front of him and took the sword into his chest. Kowareta pulled his weapon out of the older Locker’s chest, leaving a long bleeding cut behind.
“Taichi!” Shishi screamed as he quickly caught his older brother, who was falling backward. “No… no, no…! Why…?! You stupid brother! Why did you jump in front of me?!”
“The Heart,” Taichi mumbled almost to himself.
“What?” Shishi asked.
“We have to find the Heart,” Taichi repeated for his young brother. “I-if Double G-God sent the Breakers here, then the Heart has to be here on Earth. There h-has to be a portal to the Heart somewhere.”
“But…” Shishi glared at the Breakers. “What am I supposed to do about them?”
“R-run. You’re no m-match for them,” Taichi said softly, as his eyes started becoming duller and duller. “F-find the Heart.”
“Taichi…” Shishi said softly. When he did not get any response from his brother, he asked again, “Taichi…?”
Taichi never answered ever again.
Gotsu and Kowareta were watching in silence as Shishi’s body was shaking with light sobs. At this point, they knew that Shishi would be no match for them.
“Shishi…” Gotsu started but he was stopped when Kowareta placed his hand on his shoulder.
Shishi carefully placed Taichi’s head on the ground and then got up, still facing his brother and not looking up. He grabbed his head and clenched his hair into his fists. “Why? You… You said you would not kill us!”
Gotsu and Kowareta flinched as Shishi started to lift himself from the ground. Kowareta asked, “He… can fly too?”
Thunder boomed across the dark sky as Shishi was flying higher and higher until he was close to multiple lightning bolts. He screamed, “You are going to hell!”
Thousands and thousands of lightning struck down from the sky, heading straight for the Breakers.
Suddenly, a large ice dome appeared, caging the Breakers. As soon as countless bolts of lightning crashed into the dome, the ice instantly broke into thousands of pieces.
Gotsu collapsed to his knees and placed his hands on the ground. He was panting heavily. His stamina was running dry now so he was struggling to stay conscious.
With rush energy, Kowareta sprinted past Gotsu, heading straight for Shishi. When he got close to him, he fed lion energy into his feet. He then jumped high into the air as he pulled back his sword with both of his hands on the handle.
Shishi quickly created a reflect barrier in the front but Kowareta’s sword easily went through it. He tried to dodge but got cut in the shoulder instead. He growled in frustration and asked, “How?!”
Kowareta gave him a smirk as he started falling back. He simply said, “Aita.”
The young Locker pressed his hand on his shoulder, trying to stop it from bleeding too much. He winced in pain and then glared at Kowareta who landed safely on his feet. “You…!”
He briefly glanced at his lifeless brother. Flashbacks of all of the battles with the past Breakers who killed other Lockers came rushing back into his head. He tightened his grip on his wounded shoulder as his body was trembling again at the horrible memories of his dying siblings. He clenched his hands into angry fists, which small lightning bolts sparked around. Taichi… If I can’t beat the Breakers, then I’ll absolutely make sure to take them down with me, along with Double God and this universe!
Suddenly, millions of chains burst out of Shishi’s chest and flew all over the entire blue planet. Before the Breakers knew what was happening, the sun was completely blocked by the chains, leaving them in complete darkness. Soon, some of the unbroken street lights turned on.
“What?” Kowareta asked in surprise. Gotsu was completely speechless at how much power Shishi still had left.
“I will kill you! I will find the Heart and then destroy this universe!” Shishi yelled as lightning bolts sparked around his body. He dropped himself from the sky until he landed safely on his feet. He then got down on one of his knees and stomped his hand on the ground. Suddenly, the lightning bolts came out of his fingertips and spread all over the ground.
Kowareta quickly leaped backward with the help of rush energy in both of his feet, evading the lightning bolts. But the lightning attack kept going after him. He quickly turned around and ran away with rush energy bursting around his feet. Even if he was going over five hundred miles per hour, the lightning bolts were still faster.
Shit! He thought to himself as he took a quick peek behind himself at Shishi’s attack, still rushing through the ground. Just as Shishi’s attack was about to reach him, the Breaker suddenly back-flipped across the ground. He managed to evade the lightning bolts completely.
He landed safely but not without panting heavily. He turned his head towards Shishi, whose jaw had dropped. When he started walking towards the Locker, Shishi made a nervous back step. The Locker could not stop his body from shaking in fear.
Kowareta charged toward Shishi and then threw a powerful fist with lion energy. Shishi barely dodged by quickly moving his head to the left but he was not able to avoid Kowareta’s next attack, which was a sidekick to his stomach. The Locker whimpered in pain as he collapsed to his knees, wrapping his arms around his throbbing stomach.
Kowareta pointed his sword at Shishi and said calmly, “It’s over.”
Shishi clenched his jaw in both frustration and anger. Then, he chortled and said, “Kill me, then. But don’t you know what happens to the Breakers when the Lockers die?”
Kowareta raised an eyebrow at Shishi’s odd question.
“Maybe you noticed that there were two Lockers and two Breakers at first,” Shishi continued. “But since my brother died, one of you will not be reincarnated. In this case, if you kill me… then neither of you will be reincarnated!”
The Breaker narrowed his eyes in suspicion. “You’re lying.”
“Then, try if you don’t believe me!”
Before Kowareta could strike down his enemy, the entire earth suddenly started shaking so violently that he fell back on his bottom.
“W-what?” Gotsu asked in surprise. “What is happening?”
Shishi’s light chuckles caught the Breakers’ attention before he burst out into loud, crazed laughter. He exclaimed, “It’s all over for you guys… It’s the end of Earth!”
“What did you do?!” Kowareta yelled angrily as he grabbed Shishi’s black jacket harshly and pulled him closer. “Is it the chains?!”
“Now that Earth is completely closed off from the rest of the universe… Double God can no longer provide his dark and light energies to the Heart!”
“The Heart…” Gotsu widened his eyes in realization. “It’s here? On this Earth?”
The ground below Kowareta and Shishi began to swell more and more until the lava burst out shooting straight up but before it could melt them down, Kowareta and Shishi quickly split up and leaped away from not only each other but also the hot liquid.
“Kowareta!” Gotsu cried in worry. “We have to destroy the chains right now!”
Kowareta did not even hesitate at all as he hurriedly ran away from the flowing magma from the new large hole. When he reached the other Breaker, he said almost anxiously, “But there are so many chains. How are we supposed to cut all of them down at once?”
Gotsu frowned as he was in deep thoughts. He looked back at Kowareta with a sad look on his face. “Let’s use up all of our powers, then.”
“Won’t we die?”
“We all die eventually anyway.”
Kowareta flinched at Gotsu’s words. He asked softly, “But… What about… your family? And that guy… Scott?”
“My family is the reason why I’m willing to die,” Gotsu said firmly with a sad smile on his face. “Even if… they will never know what happened to me. If we don’t do this, then everyone will die. Earth, Angels, Gods, and… the people of this universe. It’s over for this universe.”
“Very well…” Kowareta gave him a half smirk. “You are the most selfless guy I’ve ever met.”
They stood in a firm stance as they looked all the way up at the clanging chains in the sky. They pointed their swords upward as they yelled, “Break!”
Two rays of light came out of the tips of their swords and were extending until they reached the chains.
Not even one fourth of the chains had been destroyed by the power of the Breakers. Even so, hundred thousands, if not a million, of souls escaped from the destroyed chains and flew into the vast space.
The Breakers tried again, and dozens of sets of chains were destroyed. They kept destroying and destroying until their energies ran nearly dry. They were panting heavily and sweating. They tried one more time, but no yellow energy came out of his sword at all.
By then, half of the city was overrun with flowing lava. There were a few new holes that were shooting up magma.
Gotsu wiped his sweaty forehead with the back of his palm and told his friend, “It’s not enough. But… I’m scared, Kowareta…”
“Me too,” Kowareta said softly as he clenched his hands into fists which were resting on his bent knees. “Shit!”
‘Tsu…
Gotsu snapped his head up as soon as he heard his nickname being called. The only person he knew tended to call him that. Was it…? “Scott?” He asked softly, only to receive a “What?” from the confused Kowareta.
Help me, ‘Tsu…
At this point, Gotsu was not sure if it was his hallucination due to exhaustion or if it was the voice of Scott right before his soul got snatched away by the chains.
Either way, it gave him a push.
“Kowareta…” Gotsu straightened his posture with a confident look on his face. He looked back up at the hovering chains in the sky. His entire body started glowing in a yellow aura. With a sad smile on his face, he reached out a hand for Kowareta.
Right away, Kowareta knew what they would be in for. He also knew that there was no turning back if they did this way. He asked just to make sure, “You know that Keni would be completely devastated if he found out what we would do?”
Gotsu looked away from Kowareta, ignoring the sounds of roaring lava nearby. He had not forgotten Light Angel but he felt bad especially after they told him that they would be seeing him again. But he knew they had to do this in order to save Earth from self-destruction… to save Scott from the chains… to save his family.
Yet... they could not save Keni from eternal loneliness.
After a brief pause, he answered, “Yes.”
Kowareta took Gotsu’s hand, and the yellow aura quickly extended to his body. Suddenly, they got lifted by newly formed ice that was emerging from the ground. It did not take too long for them before they reached the chains.
Right after they leaped from the ice opposite of each other. They quickly slashed across the chains with their swords, sending thousands and thousands of souls out into space. Soon, gravity pulled them back to Earth but they managed to land easily on their feet.
The cut they made on the chains did not stop as the crack kept extending all the way across the chains all over the world. They were annihilated in an instant. Within a split second, the sky turned from dark to bright blue. The lava stopped being poured out of the ground and turned black and solid as it cooled down.
Shishi groaned in pain as he started opening his eyes. Last thing he remembered was that he was sent away from the roaring lava and then was knocked out when he hit his head on the ground. He was panting heavily. He shifted his eyes to the side to find his lifeless brother not too far away.
He lifted one of his hands and was about to crawl toward Taichi but froze as soon as a male stranger appeared in his view. It was not either of the Breakers because he had a pair of light blue wings. He watched helplessly as the winged man tapped his sword on Taichi and drew his soul out of the corpse into his weapon. That was when Shishi realized who it was.
Light Angel.
Wasn’t he banished by Double God? If Light Angel did what Double God ordered him to, then why would he even bother to?
Shishi was watching in silence, hoping that Light Angel would not notice him at all as Keni walked over to Gotsu who was lying motionless. Keni took him in his arms and brought him to Kowareta who seemed to be unconscious as well.
Are they dead? Shishi wondered.
A bright yellow portal appeared below the Breakers and pulled them inside. Light Angel did not move when the portal disappeared. He just stood there for a few minutes, and light breezes did not bother him at all.
Shishi held his breath when Light Angel turned his head towards him. Had he been discovered after all? If Light Angel got Taichi’s soul, then of course he would want to get Shishi’s as well.
Light Angel’s mouth moved, but even though Shishi could barely hear him, he could understand him clearly.
It’s Double God’s fault.
Before Shishi could react, Light Angel disappeared into thin air.
