Chapter 1 "Three Gods"

Chapter 1
Three Gods

18 YEARS LATER

Planet Tai
Primera Galaxy
March 6, 2068

“What the hell do you mean by heavy gravity?!” Katuo practically screams at his smart watch. He almost rips off his medium black hair. His angry dark green eyes would have shot a laser at his watch if he had some kind of laser powers.

He is in the dark room, so he is smart enough to wear his full black outfit which consists of jacket see-through tank-top underneath, leather pants with thick belt with silver star, non-fingered gloves, boots, and headband. The only thing that shines in the room is his pierced ring on his ear.

“Uh, yeah. Planet Tai’s gravity is about 20x as Earth’s. That means, you can’t fly with wings. You can’t run very fast either -- I would say, at only 90 kilometers per hour.”

“You’re fucking kidding!” Katuo yells again. “Because of your fucking miscalculation, our operation is screwed up! I’m sure Siko made it to the destination, but I still have about twenty miles to get there --”

He freezes at loud bangs on the door. Right before he cuts off the link, he says, “Shit, they found me!”

He scans the dark area until he finds the closed curtains. He quickly opens them to find a window. He jumps out as soon as he hears the door being kicked open.

Only to realize that he jumped from the ten-story building.

“Oh, shit --!” He cries before he gets interrupted by a different voice from his smart watch.

“What are you taking so long? They will suspect that something is up sooner or later!”

“I will make it soon, Siko. Alright?” Katuo says before he quickly turns off the watch. He does not have any time to talk! He has to figure it out before he hurts himself.

Eh, whatever. He sighs at his own idiocy, shrugging his shoulders carelessly. Immediately afterward, he crashes into the busy street, which results in multiple car accidents.

After a few minutes, the citizens of Planet Tai begin to gather together to check on the dead body that crashed into the street -- no, it is now a large crater, as if a large asteroid crashed into that area.

“Stay away from the hole, citizens!” one of the men in a military uniform yells as loud as possible, as a few military police cars screech to halt nearby. “This man is very dangerous!”

One of the citizens takes one more look at the body before gasping loudly. “They weren’t kidding! He is alive!”

Katuo sighs once again, still lying in the crater. He was kind of hoping that they would leave him alone if he acted dead, right? Nope!

Just as he begins to get up, he hears “FREEZE!” from the military policemen. Shit! They already found me? Great. Our mission is completely ruined. What now?

“Get down on the ground now!”

Katuo grins darkly and widely but does not follow such petty orders. Ah, so they are ordering me around? Don’t they even know who I really am?

One of the military policemen is trying to walk toward Katuo with the handcuffs as quiet as possible. Just as he grabs Katuo, he suddenly ends up hitting the hard floor in the face, crying in pain.

“Son of a--” Another policeman stops when he feels strong wind nearly blowing them away, as Katuo runs fast past them.

“Get in the cars!” The third one yells. “Catch him at any cost!”

“What is Katuo taking so long?” Ketsu complains, as he takes a sip of water. “That idiot...! He has always been way too reckless!”

He scratches the back of his head with short black hair nervously. They can get in trouble if Katuo is taking way too long!

He adjusts his dark blue shirt nervously, pats on his ripped jeans, and taps his dark blue boots anxiously on the floor. Then, he takes another sip of water --

Beep! Beep! The loud alarms startle him, causing him to spit out water. Cursing loudly, he tries to dry up the large panel with his white rag until something very important catches his attention.

Ketsu’s dark brown eyes move to the green radar along with flashing red light above it as if it's trying to warn him. “What is it...? Oh shit! Katuo!”

He quickly turns on one of his earplugs. “Katuo! KATUO!!”

~*~

“Sir, I found him!” A military policeman yells into the radio device from one of the cars. “He is right in front of me!”

“What?! How fast is he going?”

“At this rate I’m driving, it must be 160 kilometers per hour, sir!”

“W-what?!”

All of sudden, a loud thud lands on the top of the second military car. “What the fuck?!”

“He’s on the top of your car, sir!”

Apparently, Katuo is standing on the top of one of the cars without any effort. Two big black wings open widely on his back. A big grin is being formed on his face.

“How... how the hell did he do that? Running at this rate... holding onto the car while standing...! It’s like he is a monster...!” The third soldier cries in panic.

Katuo quickly jumps off the car and lands on the street, just keeping running in front of the military cars. Then, he turns around, still running backward, showing off his awesome ability.

“D-damn...!”

Laughing, Katuo turns around once again and runs faster and faster until he makes sure that they lose him.

He glances at the sight of a large building. “Finally! There it is...! Tai Center! Just in time!”

“Katuo!! Stop!!” Ketsu’s loud voice nearly makes Katuo’s ears bleed.

“Ow! Godammit, Ketsu! How the fuck did you turn my radio back on?!”

“Listen, Katuo! There is a bridge that is not --”

“I’m almost there, goddammit! Don’t ever interrupt me again!” Katuo takes off his earplug and communication watch and throws them across the bridge.

Before he knows it, his feet are not on the street anymore. Blinking in confusion, he looks down to see if it is his imagination or not. ...Maybe I should’ve let Ketsu finish his sentence.

So many lights in the city under Katuo begin growing larger and larger as he is falling down. He crosses his arms with a scowl on his face. “At least, I can’t die, right? But then I will get injured... and I’ll screw up our first mission. He won’t be happy at all.”

He turns around in the air when he hears a loud rumbling sound. He grins widely when he realizes what it is. “Ketsu... you are the true lifesaver!”

“Thanks! Don’t screw this up anymore, ok?” Ketsu laughs heartily, completely comfortable in a small jet plane.

Katuo narrows his eyes and gives him his middle finger. “Just save me or else.”

“Yeah, yeah, sure,” Ketsu mumbles. He makes the hovering jet a little closer to Katuo for him to hold onto the steel wing. Making sure he does not lose his balance, Katuo carefully walks across until he reaches the cockpit and holds onto it.

“Siko is waiting. Take me to the Tai Center immediately,” Katuo says. For some reason, he does not have black wings on his back anymore.

“Roger that!”

TAI CENTER

“Katuo! Let’s go!” Siko jogs over to Katuo, who jumps off the jet’s wing. His white hair with few spiky parts pointing out in different directions definitely stands out, compared to Katuo’s and Ketsu’s raven black hairs. He blinks his light green eyes in confusion at Ketsu’s jet.

“Got in a small trouble. Let’s hurry,” Katuo answers Siko’s silent question.

“Okay!” Siko says cheerfully. He is wearing a tight white shirt, light blue baggy pants, white boots, and white headband. A cute black butterfly tattoo can be seen on his lower hip.

“Good luck!” Ketsu yells before he flies away with the jet.

“Find the intruders!” shouts one of the captains after hearing loud warning alarms. The soldiers run all the way through the hallways with flashing red lights.

“General Tate!” One of the Lieutenants barges into the office. “We got a message from the patrol on the first floor… They said that Double God is here!”

“What?! Impossible! He’s been dead for a thousand years!” General Tate gets up from his chair quickly. “It must be a prank. He’s probably pretending to be Double God just to scare us!”

“But, sir! There are two people who claim to be Gods! As it seems, they are using light and dark powers!”

“Lead me to where they are heading for.”

~*~

The double door suddenly blows up into a large and loud explosion. Two people run through the large smokes, as if it is nothing to them.

“Katuo! We are here!” Siko exclaims with a big and cheerful grin on his face.

“Well, well, there you are… General Tate.” Katuo puts his hands in his black pockets with a small half-smirk on his face.

“You must be Double God’s imposters, eh?” General Tate says. “What is your purpose here?”

“Imposters, eh?” Katuo glances at Siko, who snickers in return. “Let’s show him… Would you like to go first?”

“Don’t be overconfident. Remember the last time with Jikan?” Siko laughs heartily, as Katuo rolls his dark green eyes.

The young silver-haired man makes a few steps ahead of Katuo, toward the General.

“Fools! If you plan to attack us, then you have to go through our defense first! If you cannot defeat us… then you are no Double God!” Right after Tate stops talking, he slams his fist on the large red button on the wall behind himself.

“Oi, oi! Who says we are Double…” Siko stops when he hears loud roars. He turns around until he finds another door opening.

The huge-muscled man with one large eye grows loudly, as he walks into the empty room with just three people.

“Katuo…” Siko says softly. “What have they done to this poor man?”

“We are on the mission.” Katuo shrugs his shoulders. “Besides, we would have been informed not to harm him by now.”

“Still thinking that you are the real Double God?” Tate scoffs. “Attack!”

The cyclops starts running fast to Siko and then jumps up into the air. He pulls back his fist, as the gravity is pulling him back down, about to --

No, his powerful fist only ends up crashing into the concrete floor, making a few cracks.

“Over here,” says Siko who is at the southeast corner of the room. The one-eyed man growls loudly, as he rushes off, heading for the silver-haired man.

Katuo has been watching Tate’s reaction for the entire time, but it is for his own amusement. “If you don’t believe that one of us is Double God, then you’re right… However…”

Tate clenches his jaw tightly in frustration, as he watches Siko calmly taking off his white headband.

“How about Light God?” Katuo finishes his question. At the exact same time, Siko starts running toward the wild cyclops.

The symbol of HIKARI is glowing brightly on Siko’s forehead. It is a white star with one white dot at the right side. Immediately afterward, two white wings appear on his back out of nowhere.

“What?! There’s no way that you can be…!” Tate frowns, turning to Katuo. “...Dark God?!”

“You’re exactly right.” Katuo takes off his black headband, displaying the same power as Siko except it is dark. The symbol of MYOU on his forehead consists of black star with a black dot on the left side. His two black wings flapped in the air.

“W-what the hell is going on?! I thought Dark and Light Gods died a thousand years ago? Who… who are you guys exactly?!” Tate is trembling at the enormous powers of two Gods. “H… What happened to Double God? He doesn’t exist anymore? Why do we… We have two Gods?”

The one-eyed monster throws his fist as hard as he can -- no, Siko lands his white glowing palm on the creature’s stomach.

Tate cannot even see what is happening between his experiment and Light God, but the monster has been sent flying crashing into the wall.

“Whoops!” Siko laughs lightheartedly as he scratches the back of his head. “I didn’t mean to hit you that hard!”

“Two Gods?” Katuo calmly puts his palms on his hips. “What, have you been living under a rock? No, there are no two Gods.”

Siko stretches out his sore arms, as he makes his way to where Katuo is standing. “Double God does exist. He is among us right now…”

Tate frowns in confusion.

“It’s just that you cannot see Double God right now,” Katuo flashes a big grin. “There are three Gods in this universe right now. You’re just looking at two of them right now.”

Tate’s eyes burn with anger. “C-curse you! Even if you are Gods, you are not getting my soul!”

Siko smiles sadly. “General Tate. Your soul is pure evil at the maximum. You’ve been doing bad things for too long enough. That’s murdering, robbing, lying, bribing, and so… Not even the Death King is able to fix it…”

“So, we have to take your soul and destroy it,” Katuo says calmly. “You can’t be reincarnated at all.”

Tate narrows his dark eyes in anger. “What will happen to my soul if I kill myself?”

“You’ll go straight to hell where the Death King will take care of you. I promise that you will not want that at all. Either way, it’s a lose-lose situation for you.”

“Well then…” All of sudden, Tate is now calm despite the anger he was showing just seconds ago. “Did you know that I came here from a different universe? That means my soul is not from here. If you are the Gods, then you should know that if I kill myself, then my soul will return to the original universe… where I came from! You won’t be able to get my soul then!”

“Katuo,” Siko says breathlessly. “Hikyou-sama will not be happy if his soul successfully gets away from us.”

“Damn.” Katuo frowns, trying to come up with something else… He will not fail this mission.

Siko glances at Tate briefly. “There are five universes right now. It’s hard to believe that there are so many uninvited aliens in this universe, eh?”

“That’s right.” Katuo looks up at Tate with a smirk. “Tate, I’m not sure how you found out about this information, but we do have an angel who controls souls. He will catch up with your soul sooner or later, even if you kill yourself right now. You’re such a fool.”

Suddenly, Tate gives out a loud laughter that fills the almost quiet room. “Then, he will have to catch me first!”

“That son of a bitch --” Katuo does not finish his sentence when Tate quickly takes out his pistol and then shoots himself in the head.

“Katuo!” Siko yells in concern.

“I know!” Katuo shouts back. Just now, they sense hundreds of life forces heading this way… for this room. “C’mon! This way!”

~*~

Katuo and Siko are breathing heavily after running all the way from the military police. At last, they found the roof, which is to their relief.

“Where is Ketsu?” Siko looks around at the dark sky. “I sent him the signal. He is supposed to be here by now.”

Katuo turns around only to find more and more soldiers getting on the roof. He sighs lightly. “I’m sorry, but we have no choice…”

Siko shakes his head, as he gets in the fighting stance. “It’s ok. But we will get in even more trouble.”

That’s true. Hikyou-sama will be pissed off. Katuo frowns at his thoughts.

“Surprise!”

“Ketsu!” Siko exclaims and turns to a huge spaceship hovering in the dark sky, with a long ladder rope hanging all the way to the Gods.

“Don’t let them escape! Kill them!” yells one of the soldiers. Immediately, they start firing their weapons at the spaceship.

Katuo quickly grabs the ladder rope and yells, “Oscuro!”

Suddenly, a thick, black barrier is being formed around the large spaceship, deflecting the bullets into the air in different directions.

“What?!” One of the soldiers says in both surprise and confusion.

“Katuo, hurry!” Siko yells. He is already inside the spaceship. Soon, Katuo quickly joins him.

The spaceship quickly launches itself into space.
